KTA-compliant braking systems by Rietschoten

A new order has been placed with Deutsche van Rietschoten & Houwens GmbH that takes it to Borssele in the Netherlands this time. Hoist brakes and hydraulic systems for the local nuclear power plant will be delivered there. The brakes are used in the fuel-element replacement systems and in the hoists for handling the CASTORs.

Especially their use in nuclear power plants is governed by strict technical safety rules, which are defined by the Nuclear Safety Standards Commission (KTA). The braking systems by Rietschoten even comply with these KTA directives, so this does not present an obstacle for their use in nuclear power plants.
